SK Telecom has decided to build cooperation with T-Labs, a research institute affiliated with Deutsche Telecom in Germany to develop a mobile identity card service at the world's largest mobile expo 'MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2019' held in Barcelona, ​​Spain. The mobile block chain IDs are a form of digital ID that can be used in fields requiring identity verification such as identity verification, access control, and various transactions. This new plan of the two companies has objectives to commercialize mobile block chain IDs and explore new business opportunities.

SK Telecom and Deutsche Telecom will demonstrate the know-how of mobile block chain ID cards through a joint demonstration at the MWC 2019 exhibition and visitors can obtain virtual IDs using the block chain, use them to enter the booths of both companies, and achieve experience of collecting tokens and exchanging them for prizes through content experience. It should be noted that mobile block chain identification is still in its infancy.

SK Telecom and Deutsche Telecom is of the belief that the mobile block chain ID is commercialized and activated and therefor it will be possible for travellers between Korea and Germany to use the services of both companies and that too, only through simple identification and subscription procedures. The related members of the SK telecom stated that the mobile block chain ID card can be used in various fields such as access control, on-line and off-line login, and various contracts.
